Click here  for a chart showing approved  state applications for the State Fiscal Stabilization Funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ("ARRA").   The remaining applications are due later this month.   

The ARRA includes over $50 billion in aid for the states.  Roughly 81% is generally to fill in the gaps to maintain current education  services.  The remaining 18% percent can be used by the governors for almost any activity  (e.g. public safety, elemetary and secondary education; higher education).
