Jerry Shadinger’s co-workers at the Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) gathered on March 26th to offer their best wishes to Jerry in his retirement following 11 years of service to Georgia Tech. Jerry joined GTPAC in 2004, after a lengthy federal career at the IRS and GSA.

In his capacity as a Procurement Counselor, Jerry conducted 13,000 counseling sessions with 850 businesses, most of them in West Georgia area. Last year, based on his achievements, Jerry was named the first recipient of GTPAC’s Superior Performance Award. The award was created and named after GTPAC’s most senior counselor, Roy Leggett, who passed away last April.

At Jerry’s retirement luncheon, GTPAC program manager Joe Beaulieu named this year’s recipient of the Roy Leggett Superior Performance Award – Bridgett Bennett who operates GTPAC’s Albany office.
