Gallatin, TN – “I had no idea that the visit at PTAP . . . would be the pivotal change point for my company.”  So writes Markeesha Harris, CEO of Linkitall LLC, an administrative management firm specializing in the fields of Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT).

Linkitall is one of thousands of small businesses that win government contracts each year thanks to help from their local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).  While their stories are unique, each speaks to the dedication and capability of the company, the expert and multi-faceted support of the PTAC, and the important ways this success benefits our government agencies and the American people.

Linkitall first began working with the Crater PTAC in Petersburg, Virginia in 2014. Since that time, the PTAC has not only guided them in obtaining critical certifications in SBA’s 8(a) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-owned small business programs (EDWOSB), and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ Service-disabled Veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) program, but provided ongoing assistance in identifying both state and federal markets for their services, developing the marketing materials and contacts to pursue those markets, and locating and responding to specific bid opportunities.

PTAC support is always more than the sum of the services provided.  As Harris wrote to Crater PTAC Director Joanne Tompkins, “You made time out of your busy schedule multiple times to hear my struggles, how I wanted to give up, and didn’t think LIA would be a success. You supported and encouraged me by attentive listening, connecting me with other small businesses, and providing helpful resources. PTAP was the first organization to give me the resources needed towards the success of LIA and as a small business owner. I can honestly say that . . . through the concerted efforts of PTAP and the guidance provided to me . . . I was able to move forward at an accelerated pace becoming a leader in the business sector!

The results speak for themselves.  Over the past year, LIA has won 5 major contracts with the US Marine Command, the US Department of Health and Human Services, and the US Department of the Army.
