Small Business Success Story from the 15th DOE Annual Small Business Forum & Expo
Held May 23-25, 2016 in Atlanta, GA!
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) had a procurement need of a utility truck with man lift (NAICS Code: 336112) for approximately $140,000.
At the DOE16 conference, one of LANL’s procurement and small business program teams’ mission was to seek a small business who could perform the work. Christopher Fresquez, Small Business Program Office Manager of LANL, visited exhibit booth #76 – Federal Contracts Corp, a small, veteran, service-disabled veteran, HUBZone small business from Tampa, Florida.
After the conference, Federal Contracts Corp responded to a request for proposal, identifying their ability to provide the electrical utility bucket truck at a fair and reasonable price. As a result, Federal Contracts Corp was awarded a subcontract with a total value of $142,350!
